Job Description

Description:Systems Engineer
Develop system specifications, input/output
processes, and working parameters for hardware/software/mechanical
compatibility
Defines system level risk management strategies
Develops overall system architecture, black box,
and grey box designs
Identifies, analyzes, and resolves system
deficiencies.
Provides complex system development and
consultation to prospective users
Interfaces with and leads customer product
development calls and meetings that pertain to the overall system architecture
and performance specification.
Responds to customer inquiries on system
performance as it relation to the system architecture
Responsible for systems level development and
testing requirements. Approves test reports.
Provides technical supplier management as
related to key system component selection
Demonstrates leadership capability to represent
systems group with a ‘hands-on’ approach
Has broad-breath of knowledge across system,
mechanical, electrical, and software engineering
Demonstrates accuracy and thoroughness of the
highest standard and quality of work
Exhibits sound and accurate judgment and
supports and explains reasoning for decisions
Understands and finalizes specifications on the
design requirements through communication with customers and/or internal
project leaders
Creates system test specification for design
verification
Reviews or participates in testing (Feasibility,
Characterization, Verification, and performance) as required according to the
quality standards
Supports department manager in identifying
future technologies
Leads the system integration efforts. Participates
in design and technical reviews
Other duties as assigned. Travel 5-10 %

















 

Here is some of what you’ll
need (required)…

BS in engineering or equivalent, MS preferred
10 + years of experience in the field or related
area
Experience in design of software-driven
electromechanical Class 2 and 3 medical devices strongly preferred.
Experience in multi-level requirements
decomposition
Writing, and evaluating for, proper requirement
structure and content
Experience in system architecture trade-off
analysis
Familiar with IEC-60601 and collateral documents
Familiar with a variety of electromechanical
design concepts, practices, and procedures
Strong verbal and technical writing skills
Strong analytical thinking skills
Demonstrated technical leadership experience
