Job Description

Description:Leads overall design effort. Coordinates DFMEA activities
Has broad-breath of knowledge across system,
mechanical, electrical, and software engineering
Ensures cross functional collaboration in all
phases of the design.
Coordinates testing (Feasibility,
Characterization, Verification, and performance) as required according to the
quality standards
Creates initial estimate for the effort, plan
the tasks and define the time requirement.
Supports Project schedule generation. Works with
Project Manager to align technical tasks and resources to overall project
timeline and milestone
Methodically prioritizes and plans multiple work
activities across various disciplines for the team.
Ensures ISO process conformance. Leads design of
subsystems and integration of total system.
Responsible for the integration of the system
with the test equipment development
Responsible to insure testability is designed
into the system
Demonstrates the ability to follow engineering
processes and sound design practices.
Identifies and resolves technical problems in a
timely matter; Gathers and analyzes information; Synthesizes workable and
implementable solutions within the confines of company policies, procedures and
available resources
Provides technical direction, as required, for
the implementation of industry regulations and best practices as they apply to

support of the Quality organization
Primary technical point-of-contact with
customer; Responds to customer inquiries
Tracks customer/project issues and drives
Exhibits sound and accurate judgment and
supports and explains reasoning for decisions
Approves test plans and test reports. Leads
design and technical reviews
Provide technical oversight and perform reviews
of all engineering output
Interfaces with and leads customer product
development calls and meetings that pertain to the system design.
Interfaces with internal/external technical
leadership and management to communicate technical issues and resolutions.
Manages product configuration and monitors COGS
throughout product development.
Responsible for technical adherence to the DDP
Plan, Requirements and Traceability, Design Verification, Process Optimization
and Validation, and product launch in accordance with Flex PDP.


Here is some of what you’ll
need (required)…

BS in engineering or equivalent, MS preferred
10 + years of experience in the field or related
Experience in design of software-driven
electromechanical medical devices strongly preferred.
Familiar with IEC-60601 and collateral documents
Understanding of EMI/EMC principles and design
Familiar with a variety of electromechanical
design concepts, practices, and procedures
Strong verbal and technical writing skills
Strong analytical thinking skills
Demonstrated team leadership experience
Travel 5 – 10 %
