Job DescriptionOur client is a contract manufacturer of dietary supplements, sports nutrition and personal care products. We specialize in product development and formulation in a start of the art facility. Our facilities are modern and in compliance with highest standards in the industry, including cGMP. We are looking to hire a detail-oriented, motivated team player to add to our Materials Management team.ResponsibilitiesManages the development and maintenance of a balanced Production Schedule in accordance with Marketing and Production requirements.Develops flow rates to meet optimum stocking levels of complete machines and component parts to satisfy customer demand while optimizing our inventory investment.Manage scheduling conflicts and generate supply commits for downstream nodes.Plans, forecasts Manages all material functions associated with order from launching orders via ERP, contacting suppliers to secure the best terms, following materials movement through the shop floor.Develops daily/monthly production plans based on customer requirements, material availability, labor, manufacturing and operational requirements. Manages and resolves past due issues.Communicates any deficiencies that could adversely impact customer service.Regularly monitors and analyzes customer demand to best balance line productivity with an ability to reschedule production at short notice.Maintain appropriate levels of inventory and ensure production schedules are met and waste is minimized.Utilize innovative skills to ideate and develop material planning methods and cost reduction strategiesIdentifies and implements strategies for streamlined workload in partnership with sourcing, suppliers, and overseas offices.Utilizing continuous improvement mindset, assist in identifying opportunities to improve processes.Follow Good Manufacturing Practices. Maintain a clean, sanitary and safe work area.Report any food safety and food quality related issues to management immediately.Other responsibilities as assigned or required.ExperienceHigh School Diploma or equivalent required.Associates or Bachelor's Degree in related field preferred.Experience within the food and beverage industry preferred.5 years’ experience in manufacturing planning required.5 years’ Enterprise Resource Planning experience required.Able to provide technical advice for other professionals.Able to deal with large amounts of analytical data & information, problem-solving skills and ability to make or propose decisions as required.Practical knowledge of ERP systems and materials sourcing.Able to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals.Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and computer-based applications.Must be able to stand, walk, kneel and bend. Must be able to lift up to 25 pounds occasionally including overhead.
