Job Description

Description:The Audience Development
Executive for an exciting and growing global trade journal publication.  This individual will be responsible for executing a marketing and customer acquisition
strategy for achieving the publication’s monthly and annual readership goals
across all platforms. This includes generating leads, developing referral
networks, prospecting and cross selling. The Audience Development Executive
also is responsible for driving growth by building and supporting best
practices in social media, search engine optimization and the use of analytics.

 

The full-time position also is
expected to work with the Business Development Manager to develop and implement
marketing plans and sales efforts for all
products, including reprints, event tickets, merchandise and advertising.

 

Responsibilities include:

 

Actively
growing print subscribers, digital readership and social engagement, meeting or
exceeding monthly and annual goals
Developing
lists of key target personnel and other prospects and qualifying them through
promotional signup and renewal efforts for print and email subscriptions
Updating
individual subscriber information as needed
Maintaining
Salesforce database
Maintaining
subscription requestor status to meet or exceed USPS regulations
Managing
subscriptions and actively promoting growth
Developing
relationships with suppliers at subscription introduction to eventually convert
to advertising customer
Providing
excellent, on-going customer support and service, including purchases, returns,
refunds and re-orders
Work with
the Publisher and Editorial Director to set, drive and share ownership of
traffic and audience goals
Develop content
strategies for the journal social media
accounts, with the goal of increasing audience, driving engagement and growth
the brand across multiple platforms.
Post news
items to the website, along with formatting to push out to social media
channels
Generate unique
content for social media accounts
to help promote stories.
With the
help of the Publisher rand EIC to help drive and execute the digital strategy,
to include
Providing
regular analytics to inform content and marketing decisions
Assist with
outreach efforts for Best Places to Work and other special
publications, events and initiatives
Attend company and industry
events
Contribute
to a positive, collaborative team environment
Take on any
other assignment made by manager(s)
















 

Education

 

Bachelor’s
degree - required
Communications or Marketing concentration preferred

3-5 years publishing experience or audience
development preferred
