Job Responsibilities
The role of the Sales Account
Manager is to manage client relationships and sell commercial building signage
to existing and potential customers in the National marketplace. Sales Account
Managers are client-facing and will help the client achieve their goals while
growing existing accounts through upsells. The Sales Account manager will also identify
potential customers and develop, present and close sales proposals to address
the customer’s requirements. The client is in a growth mode and the Sales Account
Manager is critical to development of new customer business and expansion of
business opportunities with existing customers.
The Sales Account
Manager will work with the executive team to develop sales forecasts, respond
to RFPs and bid opportunities for existing and potential customers.
Build relationships with commercial building Construction
Managers and Facility Managers of national level retailers, restaurants and
other new markets
Maintain high work quality so that clients want
to renew/expand contracts
Oversee the client project(s) and serve as the
day-to-day point of contact
Communicates with clients on a frequent basis
Responsible for filtering client’s questions and
plans to Project Managers who manage vendor relationships
Identify potential customers and decision makers
Secure opportunities to bid on customer projects
Secure committed work contracts to meet revenue
Work with other team members to develop
responses to customer RFP’s and other types of customer requests.
Provide professional level responses to customer
Develop and maintain a listing of customers and
potential customers with schedules of potential bid opportunities
Manage customer expectations and keep customer
advised on project progress
Revise and report on monthly sales forecast
including updates to internal management regarding new revenue opportunities,
RFPs and client matters.
Develop positive customer rapport and
communication path with new and existing customer base.
Work with other team members to align customer
schedules with crew availability
Understand customer financial risks as a method
to qualify customers prior to response development
Collaborate with the executive team on sales
activities and responses
Communicate all sales activities through company
CRM system
Other duties as assigned

Qualifications and
Bachelor’s degree in a Business Management is
preferred but not required
3+ years of Account Management and Sales
experience selling commercial building products with emphasis on direct
customer interface
Experience managing client relationships
Experience responding to RFP’s, preparing
proposals and statements of work (SOW)
Experience negotiating and closing deals
Experience building relationships with
commercial building Construction Managers and Facility Managers
Working knowledge of pole, pylon, monument and
channel signage requirements is preferred
The individual must possess outstanding
communication skills, written and verbal, as well as, strong inter-personal
skills as he/she interfaces with subordinates
Ability to work on multiple projects at once
Highly organized person and can show planning
and processes to support daily work
Practical and conceptual thinking as related to
project descriptions and needs
Excellent verbal, written, phone, and
interpersonal skills
Technical aptitude for CRM systems and other
Microsoft Office tools (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
The position will require some travel, 25-50%
