  ELECTRONICS ENGINEER POSITION SUMMARY:Works in an ISO 9001:2015 environment. Supports the engineering staff in the development and implementation of electronic circuitry for products and in-house test equipment. Tasks include assistance with circuit design and analysis, component selection, schematic entry, circuit board layout, circuit testing and troubleshooting, and low-level firmware development for embedded systems and interface with various testing labs and agencies for FCC, UL, CSA, AS/NZ, EN, ISED, etc. regulatory certifications. SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES: Receives information from the engineering and purchasing staff concerning circuit and component needs. Researches available components and circuit configurations needed to meet design requirements. Performs searches on available data bases to identify components best suited to the application. Makes recommendations and selects suitable components and alternatives. Develops circuitry and performs computerized circuit analysis as required. Develops and evaluates demonstration circuitry to confirm circuit concepts. Performs computerized circuit analysis as required. Develops low level firmware needed to support circuit development and testing of embedded systems. Assists with the development of schematics, circuit board layout, circuit prototypes and testing.Assists with the development and verifying of assemble drawings and bills of material.Assists with engineering change processes to ensure changes are properly tested and documentation is accurate and updated in a timely manner.Read, analyze and interpret technical documents to define problems and established facts. Handle multiple projects simultaneously.Maintain required documentation of development and testing activities, including engineering notes, circuit block diagrams, functional descriptions, test plans and reports.Comply with all safety policies, practices and procedures. Report all unsafe activities to supervisor and/or Human Resources. Participate in proactive team efforts to achieve departmental and company goals. Act as prime for development, maintenance, support and coordination of new and existing regulatory compliance program requirements, including FCC, UL, CSA, AS/NZ, EN, ISED, etc. for safety and any other applicable regulations, and maintains all regulatory documentation for Garret Metal Detector products.Continuously monitors and evaluates regulatory requirements for their relevance to products developed by Garrett and the countries in which these products are sold.Responsible for participating in New Product Development team projects regarding regulatory requirement development, compliance testing plan development, and test execution.Perform other duties as assigned.   SPECIFIC JOB REQUIREMENTS:Altium schematic capture & circuit board layoutCircuit analysis Proficient with C programming languageAbility to collaborate with others in a multidisciplinary team environment Trouble-shooting and problem-solving skills desired         QUALIFICATIONS:Education:                                                             Bachelors of Science (Electronics Engineering).Experience:5-15 yearsSpecial Skills &
