Their primary expertise is in the design, manufacturing, and providing innovative and practical solutions to meet customer requirements.Job Summary:  The Production Manager is overall responsible for customer satisfaction.  This role involves inventory management including purchasing and customer order fulfillment.  In addition, the manager oversees the entry of orders to assembly/fabrication/repair to warehousing and shipping products to customers.  The Production Manager is also responsible for continual improvement of company processes and systems.  This position will report to the President. Essential Job Functions: Manages and works with a small team of 8-10 employees as a hands-on managerEstablishes departmental goals, standards, metrics, processes and training to ensure inventory is optimized and customer orders are fulfilled on time focusing on quality management and delivering superior customer serviceUtilizes company ERP and other systems to generate work orders and production schedules Reviews production schedules, work orders, and staffing tables to identify and resolve issues and determine personnel needs, materials requirements, CM requirements and prioritiesCoordinate and expedite the internal and external flow of work and materials within or between departments and sub-contractors according to production scheduleOversee and ensure the timely delivery, assembly, and distribution of supplies and parts with ability and desire to assist when necessaryConfer with the team to ensure work progress and targeted completion dates are being metFlexibility to identify issues and create solutions across all areasProvide production direction on required tools, materials, equipment, shipping schedules, staffing requirements, and cost projectionsAbility to identify additional CM sources for quality and cost reduction as well as manufacturing capacity when necessaryCompile information and present status reports on production rates and progress, materials inventories, materials used, volumes produced, quality control measures, production problems, and delivery status Coordinate with engineering and quality control to develop and improve processes and procedures that ensure optimal efficiency and effectiveness Interface with sales and marketing to ensure understanding of customer requirements and shipment schedulesFollow and ensure organizational safety and ensure staff is following work instructions to meet ISO Requirements. Give clear and actionable performance feedback while advising and mentoring staffEmbody company core values and inspire staff to reach highest levels possibleDevelop, provide and present periodic reports of all activities and metrics within the production department to upper management and peersPerform other duties as assignedEducation, Experience and Skill

Requirements:  Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience required; a degree in any Engineering discipline is a plus5+ years’ experience in a distribution, wholesale or manufacturing environment Experience in electronics manufacturing/assembly operations required; junction field effect transistors (JFET) or other semiconductor devices is a plusExperience interfacing and coordinating materials flow through external sub-contract manufacturersExperience working with ISO Requirements 9001Inventory management experienceShipping and receiving experience Experience utilizing and making adjustments in an inventory ERP system, specifically Epicor, is a plusKnowledge of MRP systemsSolid proficiency in Microsoft products including Word, and Excel and Outlook Ability to occasionally stand for periods of time and lift items up to 10 pounds
