PAYROLL/HR GENERALIST

Due to growth within our HR Practice, we are searching for a Full-Time Payroll and Human Resources Generalist to provide Payroll and HR outsourcing services to our clients. SUMMARY: In this role, you will:
• Provide Payroll services to clients in different industries, and of varying sizes
• Work with clients to plan and implement Best Practices to meet their tactical Payroll & HR needs
• Reviews/Analyzes all steps of the payroll process to ensure accurate and timely completions of payroll transactions
• Resolve issues regarding questions from payroll check computations
• Ensures that all payroll interfaces and uploads are accurate and supported by control totals
• Positively supports department initiatives and directions
• Resolve issues regarding questions from payroll check computations.
• Partners with Human Resource and Accounting teams to resolve payroll posting issues or research questions.
• Maintains a strong working knowledge of the payroll process/company procedures
• Reviews, analyzes, and audits payroll data to ensure accuracy and minimize exposure by following labor laws, and departmental procedures.
• Works with 3rd party vendors, Accounting Department, HR Department, and Department Managers to resolve payroll processing issues
• Adhere to and perform reporting requirements as it pertains to HR/Payroll/Tax/Benefit compliance, and/or requested by client
• Depending upon the client, you may provide a wide variety of HR generalist duties which could include:
o HR & Payroll Compliance
o Management advisory
o Policy and Procedure development
o Payroll Management
o Benefits Administration
WE ARE LOOKING FOR SOMEONE WHO IS:
• Comfortable advising Business Owners & Senior Managers regarding Payroll & HR compliance matters
• A self-starter, who can proactively deliver needed Payroll and HR services in a changing environment
• Able to work autonomously and is independent in their decision making and responsibilities
• An excellent communicator – both verbally and in writing
• Knowledgeable regarding most areas of HR
• Fast-paced, well-organized, multi-tasker, and efficient in the delivery of Payroll and HR services
• Professional, able to build relationships, and influence others
REQUIRED EXPERIENCE:
• 3 – 5 years as a Payroll Specialist, HR Generalist, Manager or similar, performing or overseeing all Payroll and/or HR Generalist duties
• Recent experience as an Payroll Specialist/HR Generalist/Manager in a start-up and/or small company preferred
• Multiple Payroll/HRIS system and multiple industry experience desired
REQUIRED SKILLS:
• Solid knowledge of all common Payroll HR laws and regulations
• Solid knowledge of Payroll and HR best practices
• Strong PC Computer Skills – MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook PowerPoint), Internet, Databases
• Experience using various Payroll & HRIS systems
REQUIRED EDUCATION: Bachelor’s Degree in a related field of study and PHR / SPHR certification preferred, or Associates Degree and equivalent work experience
