 Director of Business Development    Our Client brings a team of experienced professionals to help their clients execute their infrastructure projects with quality, integrity, efficiency, and safety. Their primary services offerings are:  Construction Inspection Services –– placing personnel onsite during construction to provide an added level of risk management and quality control. Program and Project Management –– proactively coordinating work and making decisions on behalf of Clients to drive projects towards successful adherence to scope, schedule, and budget––increasing efficiency, transparency, and enabling our clients to make better project decisions. Project Controls –– providing advanced budget and scheduling capabilities to increase project intelligence, facilitate decision making, and drive efficiencies.Material Management & Expediting –– ensuring costly materials are safely delivered on time and within budget and quality standards. Energy Solutions –– working with our clients to develop a strategic plan to lower their overall cost of power by fully understanding our Clients’ load profile, risk tolerance, financial goals, operations goals, reliability goals, and sustainability commitments.Our client is a Texas based  company with the ability to expand to neighboring states.  Our typical clients are power delivery utilities, renewable power generation, power storage, and large load facilities.  Our Company’s business model is proven, but we need an energized person to quickly improve and sustain our business development efforts.  Role Description:
The Director of Business Development will be responsible for creating and managing a sales, marketing, and customer development program.  This role is ultimately responsible for lead generation, closing contracts, fulfilling revenue targets, and monitoring customer relationships, by offering strategic leadership for the Business Development department AND acting as an individual contributor for sales performance.  The Business Development Director will report to the President. This role will manage multiple contracted resources to improve company marketing material, social media outreach, company website, and industry research.  Multiple leaders in the company will have the responsibility to assist you in the Sales processes that you define, leveraging their relationships to help you develop and secure leads.  Other internal resources will also assist you with the development of proposals, customer satisfaction assurance, and industry events. Additionally, the Business Development Director will be responsible for prospecting leads using various methods such as cold-calling and face-to-face meetings, and indirect methods such as industry networking. The Business Development Director will drive the entire sales cycle, from initial client engagement, through the signing of contracts, by carrying out the sales efforts or guiding other company leaders through your process.  This role will be held accountable for achieving defined sales targets.  Desired Attributes and Experiences for the Role:A leader with experience converting a company’s strategic vision into the creation of business development strategies and processes.  Must enjoy teaching others how to follow the sales strategies and processes, therefore, increasing overall sales opportunities for the company.A “hunter” with a proven track record of developing leads, performing sales, and closing over $5mm in annual revenue for construction-related products or services.A process-oriented person who appreciates the efficiency of consistency and importance of trending KPIs to constantly improve processes, with an eye for continual improvement to reduce the sales cycle duration.Customer-focused on identifying current concerns and the desired future state of potential clients, so our company can optimize our solution offering, serving our clients to maximize their value.  A strong cultural fit with an additional tenacity towards creating success for yourself and the team while representing Company core values of Integrity, Respect, Excellence, Teamwork, Creativity, and Humility.Experience in sales leadership roles with sole responsibility for a key segment of the business at an entrepreneurial company/startup and/or large company experience. Experience with developing marketing materials and coordinating internal or external resources to perform the marketing needs of the company.Ability to influence and close complex deals with multiple decision-makers from across the C-suite to operations management.Strong experience in responding to requests for proposals, preparing contracts and statements of work. Ability to work both independently and as a team player and thrive in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment dependent on managing multiple project timelines and schedules simultaneously.Strong work ethic, a high degree of professionalism with the ability to work with little supervision, handle multiple tasks in an organized manner, produce quality work and meet strict deadlines. Job Requirements / Skills:Excellent communication skills (written and verbal).7+ years selling to large Regional or National Accounts, in the construction industry, preferably in the electric infrastructure space.Bachelors’ Degree in Business, Engineering, Sales, or Technology preferredExcellent computer skills including proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Word, Microsoft PowerPoint, and Microsoft Outlook.Experience using Client Relationship Management (CRM) solutions.  Strong organizational and scheduling skills.Flexibility to travel as needed to hit sales targets.  Some minor travel will be required for onsite training and leadership meetings.  Otherwise, the role will work from home. Compensation:Competitive pay plus sales target bonuses 401k match and Profit SharingPaid Time OffQuality and low-cost health insurance benefits including Medical, Dental, Vision, Voluntary Life and AD&D.
